Alissa Turns 5!!!!

Alissa turned five today. Wahoo! She was so excited. She has been asking me for two months when it would be her birthday. And all she asked for was a bubblegum machine. (She has definitely lived up to her nickname "treats" Anyway. We had a birthday party and I let her invite anyone she wanted to. The only people we didn't get invitations to were the family ones (mostly cousins) that were out of town. So I bought all of her treats for her birthday after Easter at the Easter Clearance sale and so I decided to have an "Easter" egg hunt for her birthday party, but I didn't want all of the big kids to get all of the candy. So we had a egg hunting relay instead. I think it went pretty well. (Obviously I bought the cake.)Alissa hunting eggs for the relay.

-K so people might think I am crazy, but I am a firm believer that you invite all or none when it comes to b-day parties. So we had a lot of kids come. I think the kids had a good time and I know that Alissa did. She is such a wonderful little girl. We love you, Alissa!

New Carpet!

Yea! Chip is done with another semester of school. (sigh of relief) We had a rough finals week with our landlord pulling new carpet in. We basically had to move out of the bedrooms and then move back in. The carpet looks great. We love it!! But it would have been better to do it another week. We also painted two of the bedrooms. I took down a crayon border in the girls room (that took forever) and we painted it white, and we painted Connor's room a brownish beige. Both look 100% better. It is amazing what a coat of paint and new carpet can do for a room. We are going to paint one of the bathrooms also but we haven't done it yet. (Hopefully later this week)

Rub-a-dub-dub

Connor loves the tub. If he is onery, all you have to do is put him in the tub and he cheers up instantly. Here are some pics I took of him playing in the tub.

So Hi everyone. I have finally sucumbed to the blogging world, with the help (and insistence) of Rebecca. We had a nice day today with Cadance, Connor and I going to the park and watching conference. Chip and Alissa are in Salina. Chip is watching the car lot for his Dad while they go to see Tyler and Brandie's new baby Issac. (Congrats guys!) Alissa went to go play with her favorite person in the whole world. Her cousin Avery, hopefully they aren't driving Char crazy. Anyway here are some pictures from the park.
