Alissa loses tooth #3

Alissa was not excited about pulling this tooth out even though it was just barely hanging in there. Her face says it all.

Lake Powell

We headed to Lake Powell for the day, but forgot to take pictures and only ended up with these two. Chip and Cadance had a blast on the tube behind the boat. Alissa and Connor mostly just played in the water and on the beach with all the Adams cousins. Just wanted to give a shout out to the Adams for letting us come. We always enjoy it and are so grateful they let us tag along. Thanks again!

Attempted Fishing

We started out in the morning on a fishing trip to Navajo Lake. It was nice weather in Cedar, but the closer we got to the Lake the worse it got. We arrived and got our lunch out. We were able to eat lunch and get the poles ready, before it started to pore. We were scrambling to get the lunch stuff back in the van and Connor was trying to help he tripped and fell pretty hard. Ouch! It didn't look like it was going to let up so we decided to try somewhere else.

So we went to Duck Creek.......
There were a bunch of people there so the good fishing places were taken. We attempted to fish for a while without any luck. Chip had a blast teaching Connor to fish. We didn't even get a bite and Cadance really really wanted to catch something, so we decided to head over to the kids pond.

On the way to the kids pond we stopped to go on a hike. Connor had fallen asleep, so I stayed in the van with him. Chip took the girls on the hike. He has a funny story to tell about that but you will have to ask him about it in person.

We got to the kids pond and Alissa and Connor were done fishing. Cadance still really wanted to catch something so her and I fished while Chip chased the other two. She got really good at casting and I was surprised how patient she was being. She even got a couple bites, but never got to reel one in. She was disappointed but had fun anyway.
It was kind of a frustrating "fishing" trip, but we had fun and the kids didn't seem to care.

Chip's B-day cake.

The girls made Chip's cake with Grandma Sanders. It is a log truck.

Independence Day

We spent Independence Day in Sevier Valley spliting our time between families. I'm so glad we live in such a great country. God bless the USA.

My gorgeous girls!

Cason loved the tractors.

Logging

Chip, his brothers and his dad started logging "for fun" again this summer. They have really enjoyed it.
